FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS AND DEVICE LAB (FMDL)

 

  The FMDL lab is a home of 2-2 layer structured Magnetoelectric (ME) Composite which is using product property of piezoelectric and magnetostrictive materials.  Since we are not only investigating material itself, but also functional devices, we stand at the bridge of materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering and electronic engineering.

  Our research focuses mainly on the investigation of piezoelectric, ferroelectric, and magnetic materials and devices by understanding the material processing- property-structure relation. The functional materials we create ultimately utilize as various electronic and multifunctional devices including energy harvesters, sensors, actuators,  and transducers.
